"When I first decided to do an all-Apollo show, I was curious and apprehensive - apprehensive, because - like most designers - I have an existing palette with which I'm comfortable, and because this was a new, revised version of a play I'd done the year before. It was important to me that the basic washes look much the same as in the previous production. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Apollo has equivalents for almost every color in my basic palette and, in several cases I found Apollo colors that I liked better than the ones I'd used previously.
